Paypal is a great example for success coming from change. Founded in 1988, they were originally using Palm Pilots (personal digital assistant) to use for the transfer of funds. They decided that since people were using both personal digital assistants and also carrying their wallets, they thought it would be great to combine them both and create a way for people to make purchases digitally and also pay their bills through their personal digital assitant. In 2000, Paypal had started eBay payments. The revenue was significantly greater from online transfers and payments than what was coming in from Palm Pilot transfers. Palm Pilots were officially discontinued from Paypal shortly after. They now have 188 million users and had a total revenue of $13.094 billion in 2017.

I have used the example of NZ Netball Organisation. The controversial change that was made in 2015 to the head coach, has proved to hold a poor record for the Silver Ferns with a 51% win rate. They have also had the worse ever Commonwealth Games campaign. Also the change to the structure of the provincial netball organisation has possibly played a part in the poor performance this year. There has recently been announced that a independent review will be carried out to understand the performance. This process will include many key influences, which will then report on the changes that are needed too support the transformation back to success.

Shell's Downstream One - J.Bensen

In 2004 Shell was facing both the oil reserves crisis and departure of their CEO. To survive the new CEO introduced radically new structures and processes. Standard processes were introduced across all countries and regions, from invoicing and finance systems to bigger, more centralised distribution centers. They identified and rapidly addressed areas of resistance. They had experts leading the change and the CEO and senior management were very actively involved in the change management rather then delegate. Hence the title Downstream One.
The company survived and is much healthier financially.

Blockbusters failed due to not embracing change. Back in the day everyone loved going to the Video shop to hire a movie or two for the night. This was great we were all there. However as technology changed so did the people. Blockbusters was approached by Netflix to go into a partnership with Netflix or to sell their brand to Netflix. Needless to say Blockbusters refused the offer. Netflix embraced technology and so started their company where we can have all the movies we want at the click of a button and a monthly subscription. Blockbusters revenue and success was based on their customers not returning the videos on time and hence had to pay a fine. That is how they made their money. Netflix has taken the world by storm.
https://www.forbes.com/sites/gregsatell/2014/09/05/a-look-back-at-why-blockbuster-really-failed-and-why-it-didnt-have-to/#4f487e451d64

A local business shop had two management operating within the business but as it seemed that as time went on the two managers hadn't seemed to improve on anything due to operating the shop as it needed a lot of attention but also making sure that the shop was kept up to a high level of hygiene for customers to enjoy as it got worse and worse. With new management in place they realize the difference of smell when walking in to this particular business and also looking more professional for customers to be able to enjoy there shopping time.
