I am so anxious about the OTLAs, it’s not fair we don’t have a revision period. Over Christmas I have to work and revise in just a few weeks. I think we should have had prior experience in the otla style exam before having to do them when they count. Maybe a workshop in the start of the semester or maybe work last year or over the summer. However, most of us also have the workshop scheduled on the same day and during the same time of the window opened for the exam. We really don’t want to miss anything either exam or the workshop. Because we did not have essay practice in which our essay was marked by academics this year. It is meaningless if we cannot receive feedback in the mock OTLA as we cannot improve from the feedback. I understand that it will be a significant workload to academics, I suggested that the mock essay can be marked by our academic personal tutor (just like the formative abstract, introduction and result wiring we had last year) so the workload for the academics will be smaller.
