On Halloween day, a boy who is dressed up in a costume accidentally rides on a haunted school bus and gets to meet witches, vampires, and werewolves along his ride. At first, he is scared but then decides to take part in the fun on the ride. He then arrives at the Haunted Ghoul, and the Monsters realize that he is a kid and not a monster. They then force him to ride the school bus back to his school where he tells all of his friends about his Adventure on the Haunted Ghoul Bus. This story follows a boy who feels that his new neighbor Jeremy Ross isn't being nice to him. This book would be great to read during National Kindness Week, and completing a corresponding activity with hearts and buckets with elementary students. This book explains that everyone has a bucket that we fill. The cat's behavior is all over the place, and the girl is forced to pick up the cat's mess and go everywhere the cat drags her to.  During their trips, the girl is never asked what do you want to do?  This book would best be read to younger elementary students to explain this is not how you take turns.

This story follows a duck on a farm who is tired of doing his daily chores. Duck decides he wants to take charge of the farm because Farmer Brown works the farm animals too hard. Duck decides to run for election and to be in charge of the farm. Duck wins the election and starts working,he then realizes that the work is too hard and then decides to run for governor. Duck wins that race and after working he realizes that the work is too hard and thinks that he could be President. Duck runs for President and wins. Duck then comes to terms that working as President is too hard. Duck sees an ad looking for a duck in the paper, he then decides that he wants to go back to the farm to work. This story follows a boy who lands a role as a ninja in a class play. With his new role, he has gained a sense of pride that he can do anything. He decides to trap the monster in his closet. He attempts to trap the monster but finds out the monster just wants to be friends. The boy decides to be friends with the monster and meet his entire family and the two become friends in the end. This story could be read to younger students to concur things that make you scared.
