  • Reyna from Philippines: My personal knowledge of poverty, at least in the context of the community where I grew up is quiet loaded. This includes experiences of desolation from being deprived of the basic necessities and opportunities and consolations of having to relate with our neighbors. Now that I am a teacher, I often see myself falling short in giving my students, who usually are privileged enough since they are coming from a different economic hierarchy of the city.  Extending this concern to our country and to the world, I find the need to develop a mechanism that will bring the privilege to the life of the privilege with the hope of forming in their minds a proactive perspective of poverty: that it is not a condition where we subjectify the poor for charity, rather, an important resource of the country in generating entrepreneurs of their filed of interest.
