Graphic design is all about making art that is visually appealing to an audience. Graphic design is harder than I thought it would be. Designing the replica was a lot harder than I thought and it was and it was hard getting all the colors and shapes to match the original. I like Paul Rand’s work because most of them were fairly simple designs but were still appealing to look at.

Pattern Making

This assignment was fairly easy. I had troubles at first trying to get the pattern made. Once I got the hang of it the rest of the project flew by very fast. I enjoyed making the project. I also feel like I learned a lot more about photoshop and how it works.

Donut Design

I enjoyed doing this assignment. Making the first donut took me awhile. After getting the hang of making the donuts the process of making them went very smoothly and I got them done pretty quickly.The hardest part was coming up with ideas for the donut designs.

Logo Parody

This assignment was harder than I thought it would be. I thought would be easy to make a logo that looks almost the exact same as the original but it turned out to be harder than I thought. I enjoyed this project because I got to be creative with my parody’s. My favorite parody was the Pizza Hat. I would do this again.

I thought this this project was okay. I liked the idea but I felt my logos didn’t have much to them and were almost to simple. My favorite logo was the western themed logo. You should use this logo because it has a very western feel and many people will understand. The logo is also very easy to remember and simple to make.

I enjoyed this project. It made me think about trying to find colors that stand out. Overall this project was pretty easy and fun to do. My favorite flier was the second one I made. This flier should be hung up because its simple and the big letters should draw attention.

Zombiewood

I enjoyed this project. It was hard because I wasn’t given directions and had to figure things out by looking it up or just messing around with photoshop. I got be creative with what I did to each person. My favorite picture was my one of Tom Holland.

This was the first time we worked for a client. This was pretty hard because I had to follow exactly what the client wanted. Overall this project didn't go great for me.

Movie Poster Parody

I enjoyed doing this project because it forced me to try and recreate a movie poster. I had to try and use effects I had never done before. If I were to redo this project I would try and improve the little details and making sure the font is the right one.

Famous Art Parody

I enjoyed this project. I learned how to overlay images and make them blend. I enjoyed this project because it was funny seeing other peoples faces on the portraits. I would do this again.

KHS Grad Ticket

I enjoyed doing this project. I thought my graduation ticket actually turned out pretty well. I enjoyed working with a client on this. I would do this again.

Food Truck Logo

I enjoyed the project because I got to work with my team to come up with good ideas for a food truck. I thought it was kinda hard designing the truck but the logo and the menu were pretty easy for me. Overall I would want to do something else like this again.

This project was fun. My first and second designs went good but my second one didn’t turn out like I hoped. I think the biggest issue was that I didn’t use the right background. Overall I enjoyed this project.

Reflection

I really enjoyed taking this class. I learned way more about photoshop than I thought I would and made some pretty cool things. I really enjoyed doing the DIY projects. I mostly enjoyed the projects that gave me the most freedom to work. I also learned a lot about graphic design, making sure my projects are visually pleasing and have good spacing and colors. I would want to learn more about graphic design in the future.
