How does Academic Writing differ from other forms of writing?

Academic writing is a style of writing used by students and teachers to create an educational materials. Academic writing uses a serious tone and it uses third-person meaning the use of I, you, and we are avoided. When making academic writing, writers should avoid the use of jargon or slang words however, if technical terms are to be used must be written on the glossary part of the material. Academic writing e.g. Journalism, research papers, encyclopedias, and any other educational materials.

2. In what ways does Professional Writing distinctively serve its purpose?

Professional writing is used in businesses; mostly gives recommendations and/or advices. It is mostly used in a corporate setting (workplace), recommendation letters for college, and most commonly business letters. Professional writing avoids the use of qualification words - words that are not sure enough like maybe, I think, etc.

3. Can you analyze and compare the key disparities between Academic and Professional Writing, and explain how these distinctions impact their respective contexts?

Academic writing uses formal language, it uses third-person view, avoids jargons or slang words, and uses factual information with basis/ evidence which means opinions cannot be written by the writer. On the other hand, professional writing can write the opinion of the writer - recommendations and advices which a writer can write to the reader but, the writer must use first-person view. Between the two, it have it's own uses and purpose. It is observable that these two writing has different tone and a different point of view in writing. If a written material delivers a serious tone, a much formal deliverance of context to the reader, then it is identified as an academic writing however, professional writing has a much more friend-like approach because it is in a professional tone and it delivers recommendations and advice to the readers (which is much more conversational than the academic writing).

1. How does Academic Writing differ from other forms of writing?

- Academic writing is formal, impartial, and intended primarily for scholars and researchers. This sets it apart from other types of writing. It emphasizes source reference and proof, avoids using first-person pronouns, and writes in an exact, impersonal tone. With sections like introduction, literature review, methods, results, discussion, and conclusion, the framework usually adheres to a set format. An audience-centered approach is heavily emphasized in this type of writing, which guarantees that the message successfully meets the needs and expectations of experts in a given sector or company. Professional writers prioritize clarity and conciseness, preferring to use simple language over superfluous jargon and complication. The document's credibility and authority are increased by adhering to specified style and formatting rules and maintaining a formal and professional tone.

3.
