Talking about myself My name is Michel Natalia Alzate Giraldo, I am single, I am from Chinchina, I’m 19 years old. I’m an advisor and I am studying an industrial engineering at UNAD. In my free time I usually like to be with my family and often enjoy quiet spaces outdoors with my friends.

I live in Chinchina, wich is a small coffee town in Colombia located in the Department of Caldas. It is a tourist city, known as "The Cradle of industrialization and coffee research in the country” It holds the Guinness Record for having built the largest cup of coffee in the world and today it stands as one of the most photographed images of the Coffee Cultural Landscape

What are the main tourist places in this city/town?

In addition to the monument "the largest cup of coffee in the world" Chinchina has other tourist sites such as the Basilica Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes, the Guayabal hacienda, which makes a tour called "A magical transit from the grain to the cup". which includes a visit to the plantation to see the sowing, production, harvest and the benefit where the dry coffee comes from the farm, the industrialization where they explain what happens with the dry coffee to obtain green coffee, roasted coffee, ground coffee and in the end the third part, there is a coffee tasting. The tour lasts about three and a half hours and finally the Cameguadua Reservoir, a Balsora lake that operates the Caldas Hydroelectric Power Plant –CHEC on the road to Palestina, make Chinchiná an unmissable attraction for locals and visitors.

2) What is the typical food of the región?

One of the typical foods that exist are the "Chuletas El Títere" their specialty is pork, which has been sold for 39 years. Its founder was Enrique Grajales. The chop comes with rice and Creole potatoes. In addition, the customer chooses between two sizes: large or small.

3) What are the main celebrations in your city/town?

The main celebrations in my town are the coffee carnivals.

4) What activities can you do in your city/town?

In my town I can do many activities such as walking or exercising in the linear park or municipal stadium, enjoying the main park with my friends, hiking through the coffee farms
