Joseph gives Beneatha some part of him a Nigerian colorful robes and some records. Joseph was thinking about Beneatha and was happy to see her and she felt the same way when she saw him. Beneatha doesn't want to act too much and show that she's into him, but I feel like Joseph is confident enough to show his feelings for her. He gave her something that was apart of his culture and apart of him.
