         <description><![CDATA[<div>Communication with families has increased dramatically this year.  Learning facilitators are asked to communicate once every two weeks, and printed information goes out on the other two weeks.  Administration is connecting with families every other month.<br><br>Lots of communication with staff and teachers as well.<br><br>Mentor system in place to support student attendance.  When there are absences, families are contacted regarding any barriers.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Q&amp;A's during the pandemic<br>This has been a challenge- with the focus being on logistics-<br>Staff has been a focus for some systems- continuing the conversations with them.<br>Twitter is another option.<br><br>Short surveys- allowed our families to know that the school values collaboration and wants families' input.<br><br>Blackboard is linked to SIS which saves time as well.<br><br>Newsletters solicit family input regarding a feedback loop.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Facebook is used by districts- with each school having it's own page.  One system using private groups for specific content for individuals/families.  The pages are managed carefully regarding posts being approved and supports communication with parents/guardians when there are issues that need to be addressed.</div>]]></description>
