-I love spending time outdoors bike riding, swimming, going for walks, and going up north to my cottage where I go fishing, ATVing, and boating with my family.

-I love trying new foods, I especially like Indian food, Caribbean food, and of course Greek and Italian food which is what I grew up with.

-I enjoy spending time with my friends- I have a small circle of very close childhood friends so I am super excited to make new friends in this program.

-I have a great passion for teaching and working with children- it has always been my dream job. To me teaching is extremely fulfilling and something I genuinely enjoy... not only teaching children new skills but also experiencing children develop and become more confident in themselves and thrive in their learning environment. 

-My Father is Italian and Mother is Greek/Macedonian 

- I am very family oriented and I'm a big sister of my two younger brothers (20 years old and 16 years old)

-I had 2 dogs (a chocolate Lab and an American bulldog). My chocolate lab was named Rosco and he was my childhood pet who I loved so much- he passed away in June after 11 years of a beautiful life.

-As a political science student, I learned about the social injustices that many societal groups face, especially within low-income and racialized communities. My degree has led to me take a human rights perspective on the school system. We are all human and deserve the same rights to access of equal treatment, participation, happiness, and resources to thrive whether that be intellectually, physically, and/or emotionally. 

-Growing up I specifically loved english and history, and I also grew passion for psychology after taking many psychology electives in university. I am so interested in how the human mind works and why we are they way that we are, and I want to be able to understand people to the best of my ability (I am a very empathetic and caring person). 

-I want to not only be viewed as a figure of authority, but as a person who cares about my students’ wellbeing and mental health just as much as their progress in class.

-I want to promote positive values to children from young ages of primary school. I have always looked up to my teachers and have always wanted to make a positive impact in children’s lives the way my teachers impacted mine.
