         <description><![CDATA[<div>George was enlisted into the army when he was 19 1/2 on July 4 1909. he had enlisted a total of two times and moved from base to base. on his second enlistment he joined a infantry unit. after that president Wilson had ordered general Pershing to make a flying squad comprised of the bravest soldiers to capture Villa and his followers. he applied and was accepted and was raised to the rank of sergeant. he then was ordered to take him and his scouts (they had horses.) to cross the Rio Grande. thirsty, they looked for water and they found a village that had water. (they took the water.)&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>- when George was captured by the Germans he was the prisoner "leader"<br>- while he was in prison he got better living conditions JUST BY ASKING! (Germans are so nice!)<br>-when the war was over the Germans just left the prisoners at the prison and no one came to get them so they just, made a town there. (WHA? WHY?)<br>-they were eventually saved by the red cross.(?)<br>-he was the first ever soldier to be captured in WW1<br>-he was from North Carolina<br>-he was born on January 19, 1890<br>-</div>]]></description>
