         <description><![CDATA[<div><em>The Declaration of Independence had a lasting impact in America after 1776 because many influential American figures used its words in their own speeches, inspired by the ideals of freedom, happiness, equality, and life. For instance, two important figures who used the Declaration of Independence in their speeches were Martin Luther King Jr. and Abraham Lincoln to show that everyone should be treated equally no matter what race. The third person who was impacted by the Declaration was Barack Obama, who wants to fight for the right of freedom for all people today. </em></div>]]></description>
