In the Hinduism there are a lot of gods. Someone are "smaller" gods and someone are "bigger".

Lets Start with the biggest!

Shiva

Shiva destroy, care and creates the world. In the hair of Shiva the river ganges, who is a sacred river for the hinduism. They who bed to Shiva look at him as the greatest god.

Vishnu

Vishnu:

Vishnu is looked at as one of the biggest Gods. Vishnu take care of the world and the universe and he fights against evilness. Vishnu had come done to the world many times to save the world. Sometimes as an animal and sometimes as a man.

Lakshmi

Lakshmi is the god of fertillity, luck and wealth, and she is Vishnus wife. She stand in a lotus-flower and have a nice golden skin. Gold and money flowing out of her hands

Parvati

The godess Parvati is the daughter of the sacred Himalaya-mountain. Parvati got the power to create, and she is kind and good. She is the godess of the home, the family and the marriage.

Krishna

Murugan

Murugan is the son of Shiva, and once he won against an ugly demon. He wears a spear, and his mount is a peacock. Muragan can also be called Skanda, Kumara or Kartikeyya.

A Hindu is one that belongs to the religion Hinduism. The hinduism is a religion from India and is one of the oldest religion in the world. For a Hindu India is a sacred land, and there you can find sacred mountains, sacred cities and rivers. Ganges is the most sacred river for a hindu. A hindu can pray to many gods and godess. But the most of hindus belive just at one god, and that god shows himself on different ways to the humans. This one god is called Braman and is the soul of the world.

The gods live in the temples. To the temple comes Hindus to worship and sacrifice to the gods and especially to see the gods and be seen by them.It is important for Hindus to worship their gods, therefore is the temples impotant for them.
