From this topic, I have learnt that Jibreel, the Holy Spirit came to educate the fundamental faith to Companions by asking about the prior knowledge. 
Apart from that, I also learnt from this hadith that Islam is built on the five pillars which have to be acted upon with Iman and Ihsan. These are the five pillars of Islam:-
  1.  Shahadah- testify that there is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his messenger which is an act done by tongue.
  2. Pray for five times a day.
  3. Pay the yearly alms.
  4. Fasting during the holy month of Ramadhan.
  5. Make the pilgrimage to Makkah based on capability.
In this topic, I learned that getting a gist of Islam in by knowing the pillar of Islam in which denial or failed to fulfill any of them makes ones is no different than a kafir. 
Lastly, perceiving the Last Hour is indeed real that makes to plant my believe in Islam and live as a real Muslim firmly.

  1. BELIEF IN ALLAH
    • The vital pillar of Iman is to believe on the existence and unity of Allah which there is only one God. Allah is the Greatest; He is the only one worthy of worship; He has no companion; this concept is Tawheed.  Allah created all of mankind to have belief in their Creator, as He  says:
      So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth. (Adhere to) the disposition of Allah upon which He has created all people. No change should there be in the creation of Allah. That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know. (Ar-Rum 30:30)
  2. BELIEF IN ANGELS
    • The second pillar of Iman is to believe in the existence of Angela as they indeed constantly record our actions.
    • Angels are honourable slaves of Allah; they obey Him and execute His commands. Allah describes about them in the Quran (what means): {They do not disobey Allah in what He commands them but do what they are commanded.} [Quran: 66:6]
  3. BELIEF IN KUTUB (THE BOOKS)
    • The third pillar of Iman is to believe in the Devine Book that Allah sent down to His Messengers as a mercy and guidance for mankind, to lead them to happiness of their life and hearafter. 
    • They are from His actual Speech and whatever they contain is truth with no doubt in it whatsoever. 
    •  Quran is the last book from Allah to Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.). Previous revelations were for specific nations, but the Quran is guidance for the whole of humanity.
  4. BELIEF IN RUSUL AND ANBIYA
    • People need a divine message to show them Allah’s laws and guide them to the right path. Indeed, a divine message is the spirit, light and the very life of the world, without which the world would certainly be lifeless and man would be plunged into the darkness of ignorance and misguidance.
    • Muslims should believe in all the messengers from Adam (A.S.) to Prophet (SAW); Muslims must believe in all the messengers in the same way they have a belief in the last messenger of Allah, i.e., Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W). 25 prophets are mentioned in the Quran, and some believe that there were about 124 000. 
    • Muslim cannot be a true believer of Islam if he is questioning any of them; if he doubts any of the prophets, he is considered to be a disbeliever. 
  5. BELIEF IN THE RESURRECTION DAY: QIYAMAH
    • The Day of Resurrection is the fifth pillar of Iman.  Consider there is no concept as the Day of judgment. Allah sent his guidance to all humanity; he created the Day of Judgment so that mankind acknowledge the consequences of their actions.
    • Firm belief that Almighty Allah will raise people to life from their graves; He will then judge them according to their deeds. Those who deserve to go to Paradise will be sent to it, while those who deserve to go to Hellfire will be sent to it.
      Belief in the last Day is one of the articles of faith, and faith will not be valid unless one believes in the Last Day, as the Qur’an states, “Truly pious are those who believe in Allah and the Last Day.” (Soorat Al-Baqarah, 2:177)
  6. BELIEF IN THE QADA AND QADAR
    • Muslims believe that the divine destiny is when God wrote down in the Preserved Table all that has happened and will happen, which will come to pass as written. According to this belief, a person's action is not caused by what is written in the preserved tablet, but rather the action is written in the tablet because God already knows all occurrences without the restrictions of time.
    •  We must always put our trust in Allah and His decree in any situations.

In our Usrah 2 journey, our first encounter was on March 18, 2024, where we had a taaruf session online via Google Meet. It was an enriching experience as we got to meet peers from various academic backgrounds. The following day, Sister Iman provided us with task sheets and outlined the course, which facilitated our understanding of the program. Before the mid-semester break during the Hari Raya season, our last session was on April 2nd.
