I heard, birds & ducks were making different sounds, winds blowing all around. Tree branches were making whooshing sounds by their leaves as the strong winds were blowing everywhere. It felt like, trees are singing along in nature. This place resembles with nature’s soundscape.

I walked, further inside the botanical garden. The pond and the mountain caught my attention. The water flowing sound from the fountain was very soothing and calming for me.

I picked up few small rocks in my hand and I threw them in the pond, and it made splashing sound.

As Dr. Ibrahim H. Baltagi’s is mentioned in his video “Music make us clam and relaxed” and he also explained, “How Music has impacts young children in positive way.” (Baltagi, 2019).

I thought of “Sound Walk” in early childhood settings, where children can involve in with deep listening, engaging in their all senses, exploring nature, observe and recognise mimic sounds of nature and learn about nature’s rhythms.

Here I found reassembling with reading by Srijani Banerjee, 2021, where she mentioned, Natural environment is holistic approach (Banerjee, 2021). This supports physical healing and emotional connection. Nature also enhances our wellbeing and embodies expressive and playful engagement.

I thought of “Nature Walk” in early childhood settings, where children can involve in with deep listening, engaging in their all senses, exploring nature, observe mimic sounds of nature and learn about nature’s rhythms and perform some physical movements.

I engaged myself with imaginative play. I closed my eyes and thought if I could fly like bird, what view I would see from above and I immersed in those imaginations.

In article “Let’s Play Outside” by Marisa Lark Wallin emphasizes pretend play in outdoors for young children enhances their creativity, imagination, collaboration, physical strength and problem-solving skills naturally (Wallin, 2019).  

I thought of “Loose-parts play, dramatic play with natural materials” in early childhood settings, where children can involve in with deep listening, engaging in their all senses, exploring nature, observe mimic sounds of nature and learn about nature’s rhythms and engaged in with dramatic play with natural materials-loose parts, like water, barks, leaves, rocks, pinecones, flowers etc.
