I have always pushed myself to be better and always keep trying. My husband is my biggest supporter in everything that I do. It is hard sometimes when I try really hard and always feel a little behind in a race that I am running, in education, or work goals. He is a PhD graduate working on his MBA. He has an amazing job that he loves and always wins prizes for anything that he does. That is a great success for both of us and makes me want to work harder myself. This is something that my parents decided for me at a young age when I was not able to make decisions for myself. I have never really agreed with everything in the LDS religion and as I have grown up I have realized that I truly do not belong and feel very differently with the beliefs. That is okay and I truly have respect for many friends and family that still choose to be part of this religion. I have also realized there are many other religions out in the world and it has been interesting learning about each of them. While visiting Israel a few years ago I had a strong sense that I do not have a religious choice currently and that is okay. I do belief in science and am amazed with the world that we live in and have learned to respect nature more. I love to dress up, wear heels, shop, get pedicures, enjoy massages, and just do things that make me feel pretty. It is weird to say that out loud since most people will think it sounds absurd and silly. I love embracing being a women and also having a strong and educated voice in the world. I love to learn, educate myself, stay active, work hard, and play hard. I want my daughter and son to realize that they can also have "female power" and enjoy any of these things I enjoy without worrying that it is a girl or boy thing to do so. It should be more of a human power and our decision to do what makes us happy!
