I have finished The Elite by Kiera Cass. The book has 336 pages and I read for about an hour a day. Focusing and taking time to read the book are helping me achieve my goals for Reading Quarter One. My main obstacle is not reading enough pages per night. My focus for my next book is I’m going to read more and spend more time on reading it to achieve my goals faster and understand much more vocabulary.

I read Legend by Marie Lu. This book was very entertaining because there was a lot of mystery involved as well as adventure. It is one of my favorites and I love how Marie Lu switched between the two main characters each chapter.

I finished Divergent by Veronica Roth. The book was so good! It made me cry at some points because Tris was going through so much and I felt for her. I loved how Four was perceived as a very big, scary man though in the middle we find out he is actually very nice and caring. The imagery was phenomenal in the book as well as the dialogue! My favorite part of the book is when Tris and Four start to trust each other more. When they come to an understanding, I was very happy for them. The book was so enjoyable because it made me feel many emotions.

I read Replica by Lauren Oliver. This book was very Sci-Fi, and I usually don’t prefer that genre but this book definitely changed my perspective on Science fiction books. I like how the author used a lot of imagery to show the test subjects and their feelings.

I read The One by Kiera Cass. This novel starts with a rebel attack which was non-violent and brief. I liked how the story is touching and sweet since it shows different sides of the characters. For example, Maxon had sent away Aspen harshly, and decided that America was no longer his bride. Though when the rebel attack occurred, the only person he had cared for was America. He saved her and let her know that he never stopped having feelings for her. During this book, Aspen fell in love with Lucy and Lucy fell in love with him. Since the king and queen were killed in the attack, Maxon and America became king and queen of Illéa. America never ended up with Aspen though he told her he still care about her but isn’t in love anymore with her.
