I believe this because the creature was created with human parts as well as he has feelings making him human. In the following quote it proves that creature is understanding and human like,"I remembered too well the treatment I had suffered from the barbarous villagers, and resolved that for the present I would remain quietly in my hovel, watching, and endeavoring to discover the motives which influenced their actions"(95).

I believe the creature is human because he has human emotions and also human parts. For example, according to chapter five it states "I look around, and I have no relation or friend upon earth. These amiable people to whom I go have never seen me, and know little of me. I am full of fears; for if I fail there, I am an outcast in the world for ever". This means that everywhere he goes people resent him and fear him, he just wants a friend.

Isabella Hickey-
I believe the creature is human because, despite he does cause harm, he does it because of personal reasons, not wild ones like an animal or monster would. For example, when he killed William he said, "My enemy is not impregnable; this death will carry despair to him, and a thousand other miseries shall destroy him" (113). This means that when he killed William he did it to purposely harm Victor, not just because he felt like it. Which shows that the creature is human, since he has a reason to the things he do.

I believe that the creature is a human because he has body parts and feelings like a human does. Yes, the creature may have killed someone but he did that over revenge. For example, " My enemy is not impregnable; this death will carry despair to him, and a thousand other miseries shall destroy him" (113). This means that he only killed William to hurt Victor. I think the creature did it because he was mad that Victor was never really there for him.

I believe that the creature is human. For example in the text it states, “You and your family are the friends whom I seek”(107). This shows that he has emotions and feelings, he does not want to be alone and he wants people to interact with. Humans do the same thing. A monster would want to be by themselves, and have no emotions. The creature is human even if he does not seem like it at most times.

I believe the creature is human because he was made by human parts and has feelings. For example in the text it states, ¨I collected bones from charnel houses; and disturbed, with profane fingers; the tremendous secrets of the human frame¨(37). This tells us that Victor made the creature with human body parts. As for him having feelings, in the text it sates, ¨Have I not suffered enough, that you seek to increase my misery?¨(83). This shows us that the creature does in fact have feelings. If he weren't human he wouldn't be miserable and he wouldn't have suffered. Even though he doesn't look much like a human he was made by human parts and has feelings.

I believe that the creature is not human because although he has emotions and feelings just like everyone else he is not the same as everyone else. He was created in a way that no one else was. He was brought back from the dead by using different parts of dead people. For example on page 41 "How can I describe my emotions at this catastrophe? His limbs were in proportion, and I had selected his features as beautiful. Beautiful!—Great God! His yellow skin scarcely covered the work of muscles and arteries beneath; his hair was of a lustrous black, and flowing; his teeth of a pearly whiteness;". this shows that this creature doesn't look normal.

I believe the creature is human because not only is it made from human parts, it also expected a promise to be fufilled, and was impatient about it, just like a human. According to the book, "Yes he had followed me in my travels; he had loitered in forests, hid himself in caves, or taken refuge in wide and desert heaths; and he now came to mark my progress, and claim the fulfilment of my promise" (Page 138). This shows that the creature was impatient and wanted to check in on the progress of the promise just like a human would have. This is why I believe the creature is a human.

I believe that the creature IS human because human parts were used to create the monster. Victor is shown in the graveyard digging bones for his creation and in the entry where he says what he was creating, he included that it was an 8-foot tall human. He feels human emotion and speaks human language and feels the same way people do, so therefore he is human.
