There are many reasons why someone would run for specific levels of office. People who run for office at a local level tend to want to help their community become a better place. People who run for office at a state or federal level would want fame or attention or even to make lots of money. All positions will include serving the public no matter the reasons that they had for wanting to be in office. There are many reasons that individuals have for running for office. Most people understand that with a government position they will be under the public eye, which can be bad, good, or sometimes both. While this is a negative aspect of having a governmental job that doesn't influence some people.

Some things that motivate people who want to run on any level of the government is one word, change. The people who run for political office is mostly only the individuals who want to take action for change they want to see. Running for the government position ultimately leads you to direct action to change, this also although forces you to put yourself through public scrutiny it makes you known. So, another thing that motivates people to run for government positions is the known legacy and being remembered as a person of change being in office gives you more opportunities to get out to the people and being more known. Even though, some people who go for government position will run only for money, which is a negative aspect of some people in government. This gives a bad represent on the government positions but mostly everyone who runs only wants change in our communities or countries.

One of the big reasons that people choose to run for office is the desire to make a difference in ones community. Whether they don't like the place where it is at and would like to change it for the better, or would like to ensure that prosperity ensues, those who run want to make their community the best version of itself. For higher levels of government such as federal levels, there is another component. Many of these powerful politicans view the jobs as prestigious and as a way for them to leave behind a legacy. Of course there are always people who actaully want to make our country a better place ontop of that factor, but unfortunately, there will always be instances where fame and money takes priority for some. People choose to run for office and risk putting themselves through public scrunity for many reasons. For instance, some people are just simply passionate about the job. Sometimes the desire to make a difference is so strong that it outweighs any backlash that they might recieve.

Individuals who choose to run for political office almost always share a passion for public service and an affinity for law and government. These citizens often feel the need to run for office due to a sense of obligation to help their community and lead people toward a better society. At the local level, such as mayors, assembly people, etc., people are often more driven to run for office because the actions in that office directly impact their community, and these roles are often less daunting than state or federal positions. Furthermore, local elected positions are often a stepping stone in state and federal officials´ careers. At the state and federal levels, many elected officials usually have their sights on fixing more pressing issues in our society and becoming a part of the larger discussion, whether it be in Congress, as a governor, or another elected office. These leaders are willing to put themselves through the intense public scrutiny that all political figures face in order to better their communities and country. In my opinion, running for political office is a noble and brave act, as dedicating yourself and oftentimes sacrificing your public image for the sake of others is an honorable thing, that many are not courageous enough to do.

There are many things that can motivate an Individual to run for public office. They may want to improve the daily lives of citizens, fight against an unfair policy, serve there country better, or work on improving relations with other countries. Many times Individuals work on fixing problems they have been directly affected by. Such as hurricanes, tornadoes, famine, poverty or crime. They wish to set up funds, polices, and spread information about this problem. While people in the office face lots of scrutiny, they put up with it because of their beliefs, and values. They wish to improve the lives of everyone in the country. That is more important than there private life and in some cases there safety. They face a lot of scrutiny and hate, but to them it is worth it. The safety of there country is more important to them than their own safety.

People choose to run for political office at the local, state, or federal level for a mix of personal, civic, and political reasons. Many are driven by a desire to make real change in their communities, often because they care deeply about specific issues like education, healthcare, the environment, or public safety. Some feel frustrated with the way things are currently being handled and believe they can do better. Others run because they feel a sense of responsibility to represent their community, especially if they come from a group that’s underrepresented in government. Even though campaigning can be exhausting and public scrutiny can be intense, many candidates believe the chance to make a difference is worth it. They’re willing to take on the pressure and hard work because they believe real change happens when people step up and get involved.

Individuals that choose to run for political positions at different levels are often motivated by their desire to make a positive impact on the individuals in that community. Making positive changes to communities for the bettering of the mass public is something many devot their life to, but not something many are able to achieve without running for a political office. These individuals put themselves through public scruinty in order to attempt to make an impact at various levels of government because they truly believe that they are able to make that impact. They know that the common good is of larger importance than their personal desires, and then proceed to dedicate their lives to attempting to positively influence and change a community for the better.
