Pedro the prince heard about his powers being removed and declared independence in front of his army. That same month he took the title of emperor but still took values of the constitution, which lead him from separating from Portugal after 300 years of colonial rule. In the first battle the Brazilians out numbered the Portuguese but were poorly equip and were beaten. A British general got two of Portugal's armies to surrender with even fighting, then one of their final two territories surrendered the following July. After Prussia trying to take trade paths away from Austria, it lead to a revolution I 1840 by the Germans. The German confederation had an assembly to see how they could unify their confederation. In 1861 Bismarck is assigned to rule over the German part of the Prussian Empire. As France declared war on Spain it unified the independent German states too go into the Prussian Union.
