Learning Diary

August 24, 2022

Wednesday

At the beginning of the lesson we talked about the previous lesson and to remind then we started to complete the previous lesson, that is, continue on the lesson,

Then we talked about how to be an active pedagogy you have to have these points

* key elements of effective pedagogy

- Combination - Content - Context - Change

Let's see what affects the class, such as the economic, political and social aspects of the country.

How to change the approach and how to use them .

Then we talked about what it takes to learn

- teach - ease - visual - auditory - stress - kinesthetic - copy - trust - scribble

Then we discussed the learning objectives as follows:

- Educational goals - Learning Outcomes - Assessment tools - Educational activities.

This is the end of the previous lecture, then a break for 15 minutes.

After a break, we immediately started the second lecture. The teacher asked us if we were telling a story for the first time to someone who was directly happy. But the same story for the second time you see little of happiness, the third time you see very normal people, that is, you see nothing from them.

This was asked as a question, which is why each of us participants answered with our own opinion. I would say that things are very repetitive , In my opinion, too much repetition of things causes the boredom (مه له ل ) , Everything has its own meaning for the first time.

In another article we talked about learning methods such as:

- Seminar

- Workshops

- Written Assignments

- Laboratory / Field Work

- Graduation Project Work Placement and Internship

We talked about Fish-bowel Learning, who we choose for the discussion, who writes the notes, and who just takes you.?

Afterwards, four of the participants sat down to discuss a topic and exchanged ideas, discussing online lecture styles that students want in learning, whether video or PowerPoint or assignments.

This method takes a lot of time because it teaches all students at the same time. This is a combination of online and classroom learning. But there is a challenge, which is a lot of cost Because it uses technology.

The problem with this system is that the student is alone at home during the lesson, it takes a long time to understand because he has to do it at home. This is not in the classroom, it is at home.

Then what kind of materials were discussed? Is it too easy or too difficult or in any way and how?

At the end of the lesson, he asked us to prepare a seminar on the methods for each group for the next lesson.

The lecture ended and we said goodbye to each other.

Razaw Rashid

Aug 30- 2022

I wrote my comments on the advantages and disadvantages of this method, because students enter a new process and have job opportunities They rely on themselves.

Disadvantages: Students will be exposed to a new culture that is not good for them psychologically, and will also face financial crisis.

Then the third group, the title of their seminar (Role playing)

They presented for 20 minutes, and all participants gave feedback.

I think this method is very useful from childhood to university, because the teacher identifies a problem or scenario and explains everything he teaches the students. This has its advantages and disadvantages, because it increases the student's self-confidence. Disadvantages: It takes a lot of time.

After these three groups are complete . Topics from all three groups were discussed with the teacher and all participants. After that, we rested and had coffee with our friends for 15 minutes.

After the break, we went back to class. The fourth group presented their seminar entitled (Field Trip).

Their feedback is a source of all, my bowl on the frog for students is useful for the direct learning of the subjects, and also makes the person's personal and social abilities to the person, and everything that is seen is better.

Then the fifth group, which is my group, presented our seminar entitled (Time Line). We received feedback from all the participants .We talked about the importance of timeline for teaching and the importance of giving students time, we also talked about the steps and we talked about good examples on the subject and finally we talked about the results.

Now it is time for the sixth group to start. The last group will present the title of their seminar (Photographs).

Then they completed within the specified time and were given feedback

This is an important method through which students are taught through pictures, and photographs have the most meaning for the visual, the variety of images and colors have an impact on students' learning.

At the end of the discussion on all the seminars and the lecture time was over and we said goodbye.

Razaw Rashid

Aug 31- 2022

Then the teacher created a padlet and shared it with everyone to write their opinions on the module. After teaching us how to make a presentation in padlet, he sent us code to learn practically.

Then he told us about (kahoot) and also sent us a link and we were added and then asked us 10 questions as a quiz and we answered (this as an activity we did),

Then we talked about the environment that must be healthy for the student to receive and use things well.

Then he then presented us with a slide, asking us as a question to discuss it in groups and then discuss it one at a time. The slide is all about the types of environments and the factors that affect them.

We took a break in the middle of the lecture and after tea and coffee we were back in class in 20 minutes.

Then we talked about an appropriate environment in which students learn. We talked about physical places like school or university, library, nature, home, cafe, workplace. Then talk about the internet, friends, family, college, social media.

We discussed what the teacher should do on the first day of class. I think you should wear formal clothes, introduce yourself, and allow students to introduce themselves, talk about the course, explain the university guidelines, ask them what their goals are and have chosen this department, talk about how to use mobile phones in class. and many other things.

The lecture ended and we said goodbye

Razaw Rashid

Sep 4- 2022

Then we talked about what has been done in the countries and what is available for universities and schools. Then we came to our main topic, which is evaluation.

After that we talked about the types. First, we have to know why and what we are doing. We have to know the people and we have to know what level the people are at in order to make the assessment. or what is their problem or what is their level of knowledge? Another type of assessment is continuous assessment.

Assessment can be done by exams, presentations, seminars or anything else. For the student to know how to be assessed and given feedback, either receive a grade or be thanked all the way to the final stage.

That is, we concluded that the types of assessment are:

- Early assessment

- Evaluation during the process

- Final assessment

We rested for 20 minutes, had coffee, and then went back to class.

Then we discussed the techniques of evaluation, the tools, which have many forms and types. such as:

1-Diagnostic assessment

2-Formative Assessment

Such as daily debates, live assessments, tests, promotions, quiz, reports, projects, workshops, teamwork, debate academies, surveys, focus groups.

After that, we talked about how to create a blogger so we could work in it. So the teacher gave us an assignment to do something as a group.
