This video encourages all people, students and educators alike, to build each other up and care for the well being of that person. It focuses on the body as well as the mind.

Lesson Plan Idea:

For Middle School students, there are different activities that can be used:

Roses and Thorns- this is a time when students can discuss things that have been difficult for them and how it made them feel. (Thorns) After sharing what may not have been a good feeling or experience, students then get to share an event or feeling that occurred that gave them hope or made them feel good. (Roses)

Music for the Soul- Students research different songs and genres of music that have a positive message or makes them feel good after listening to it. This allows students to use their analyzing and interpretation skills, along with allowing them to identify their inner feelings. It also allows students to share their thoughts and feelings with others.

McGee, P.
