It's a known prison because many political prisoners in Ireland have been detained there (And also because it's the landscape in many films, for example "In the Name of the Father").
You can visit it with a guide, but it's only in English. And it has been like that. It is an easy book to read. It is a poignant story about a boy how is born with a deformity in his face and how he faces his first year of school.
The story is the typical weekend movie at noon, with a typically moody American finish.
