One form of technology that I found interesting was the telephone, because it's amazing to think about how you can communicate with someone halfway across the world. It evolved quite a lot from the 1920's, and nowadays mostly everyone has a cellphone. Instead of needing to write a letter or go in person to talk to them, you could pick up a telephone and talk to them instead. I believe it really shaped our modern society.
