However, she refuses to follow the norm, and ultimately introduces the ability for individuals to express themselves, and follow their own voice, into society. This relates to 
"Trust thyself: every heart vibrates to that iron string."
 because the quote is stating that you have to allow yourself to be who you truly are, despite what society will think of you. Tris also follows the quote,
 "To be great is to be misunderstood." 
because when she first started straying from social norms, she was reprimanded for it, but eventually she became a hero for standing up for individuality.
