         <description><![CDATA[<div>I learned that there are strict rules in school more in China than here in the United States. There hobbies outside of school is they play basketball in China. Also they don’t really use social media in China, in fact Facebook is currently banned in China.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Today i learned that being 17 is the same no matter where you are.<br><br>I learned that China isn’t exactly as strict as we think it is: despite it being a surveillance state, the majority of the kids had no problem speaking about it.<br>I found it a bit difficult to ask harder questions that might relate to sweatshops and censorship, because I felt like they didn’t have that same perception as us, in that we have been taught that we are free and they are not.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I learned that in China, students are in school till 10pm, with only 2 or 3 breaks during the day. Students are in classrooms all day with the same people, and the teachers move around. Standardized testing plays a role in admission to College. Students in school, only get to see their parents during summer breaks and through video calls. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>What I learned today is the difference from the schools provided in China versus the schools in America. The high schools there are more rigorous and is held at a higher academic level than College. I also learned that the diversity there is very little to none and makes it difficult for students of color to attend if wanted to. It was a great experience to learn and talk to the students on a one to one bases because it feels more interactive and personal. </div>]]></description>

All they do is study!  Also I find it interesting that in the end we are all just trying to get a better education and a better future.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Today was pretty interesting I learned that students in China are not held as strict a lifestyle as we believe. How ever they do attend school from 7am-10pm and that’s insane to me. I also learned that they have absolutely no diversity in their classrooms. That would be a serious shock for me to adjust to. Overall I was more interested in them as individuals because they didn’t seem to interested in talking about school. We all communicated better when we discussed things we could relate to like food and entertainment.<br><br></div>]]></description>

Their social media isn’t heavily monitored and they don’t have much free time other than the weekends. I learned also that the international students like it here but would most likely go back within a few years. They very much enjoy the flexibility that the schools here in America have. They really like the food here in America with CFA and Waffle House being some of their favorites. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Sofia Tedrick<br></strong>Today I learned that there are very few of any at all black people in China and that the Chinese have their own cultural bias toward African Americans.<br>I learned that the arts are not as encouraged in China as they are in the United States.<br>I also learned that high school students spend all day from 7 am to 10 pm at school (with breaks for meals and leisure).</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Today, I learned that high school in China is more intense than university there. High school in China involves long work days and hours of studying for exams (such as the entrance exam for University), while many students mentioned that they came to America for college because they thought it would be a harder and more beneficial experience. I also learned that being a foreigner in China is a very different experience as there is much less diversity there compared to here. There is a lot of racial discrimination towards people with darker skin there, and white people are seen as an oddity as well.</div>]]></description>

I also learned that all social medias are blocked where they are at. For example, Snapchat, Instagram, and twitter. They don't have access to those.
