Colonial Administrators were the people responsible for overseeing the exploitation that went on for rubber in the Congo. With this they also were in charge of enforcing laws and managing the local economies. Some of them worked directly with ruling over the slaves while some of them managed indirectly through the local leaders. They were in charge of carrying out orders from authorities and higher ups, because they chose to oblige and they ended up being responsible for upwards of 8 million deaths. The reason that I choose to cause them as responsible for 8 million deaths were they had enough power to try and stop the atrocities that went on yet they still choose to just sit back and watch everything that went on a long with committing the crimes themselves. They could have stopped but do to their enjoyment of the pain and suffering of millions along with their compliance with authority they caused so many deaths.

This piece of evidence that gives us amazing insight into how the Colonial Administrators were extremely responsible for the genocide of 8 million people because it shows how they chose not to stand up to the extreme crimes. It makes us realize how they had the power to lessen the suffering and maybe even put a stop to it. They had the power and the options to help stop the suffering but they didn't have the confidence they thought the pain and suffering of millions was okay. This shows how truly horrible people the colonial administrators were.

This Quote tells us how the administrators along with just watching the atrocities they also committed them. In this evidence we learn just how horrible theese people were to be committing theese crimes. They knew how horrible the crimes they were committing were such as beating them, rape,and many more horrible crimes that should give them life in prison. This connects back to why they are mostly responsible for the millions of deaths because it shows how they stood back and watched a long with participating in theese horrible acts when they had the ability to stand up.

Leon Rom is just one example of how horrible the Administrators were, while some stood back and watch,which is still a bad thing to do, he took notes on how to make the labor increase. My evidence connects back to my original claim because it gives us an insight into what theese Colonial Administrators did and how they caused millions of deaths. Because Leon Rom wrote this notebook it caused suffering for possibly millions of people, because the administrators were taking notes and creating ideas on how to hold hostages and increase to rubber collection he created harsh environments. Theese administrators were the masterminds behind all the torture and horror that went on behind the scenes of the rubber production in the Congo.
