1.	Which of the markets above would you like to visit the most? How is it different from the other markets listed above and / or other night markets which you have visited before?

2.	In view of the raids the Hong Kong government has launched against local hawkers, some suggest similar night markets can be organized in Hong Kong. Do you think this is a feasible suggestion? Why or why not?

I think I would like to visit the JJ Green vintage market. I have been to a number of flea markets, but they all sell about the same things, such as wallets, bags and special drinks. In the vintage market, l could probably find special items like a few trinkets.
This market is different as it focuses less on the more common types of goods and instead sells more vintage items, less seen in other places.

2. I do not think that organizing night markets could be a feasible option in Hong Kong. First of all, Hong Kong does not have a suitable area that is wide enough to allow mobile food stalls to be placed. Night markets concentrate a large variety of food stalls which requires a large space. Yet, in a small city that face serious landuse conflicts, Hong Kong could not afford a food market. Secondly, food markets creat hygiene problem that most Hong Kong people would not accept. Food markets are held outdoor and the pollution caused could affect pedestrians. Moreover, as mentioned above, we do not have a large area for a food market. If we developed a food market, we may be forced to place it in a crowded place with residential areas nearby. This would arouse dissatisfaction by the public, especially for residents nearby. I think that hawking is more of a Hong Kong’s unique and traditional feature, that few cities have. In my opinion, we should keep this tradition rather than developing a food market like other places did.
