<title>The Industrial Revolution: It began at the end of the 18th century due to the connection of theoretical knowledge and practical technology. This meant that machines we&#39;re either taking over people&#39;s jobs or helping them. Workers of the city lived in miserable conditions and the urban squalor was a sign of massive change in British society. This Revolution led to a nonstop growth of cities. </title>

<title>Adam Smith and the wealth of nations: Considered father of modern economics, Adam Smith&#39;s philosophy tried to make capitalism more human. <title>- Specialisation: Smith&#39;s theory stated that the more expertise workers had in a determined area, the more profits a company could make.
- Consumer capitalism: basically the goods that once we&#39;re a luxury to some people are now affordable to a larger quantity. The bigger purpose in this factor is that the money we make comes out of a fulfilling service and that way we can be encouraged to keep working.</title>

<title>- How to treat the rich: Smith stated that rich people had all that money with the purpose of being more respected. If the government praised them enough then they would be kind enough to fund certain things and ultimately help the community.
- Consumer education: Smith is trying to ”set a bar” when buying a product. To expect and have the quality in a product or service that we are paying for. </title>

<title>Social Darwinism: believes in the ”survival of the fittest”. It’s the application of Charles Darwin&#39;s theories to society, but unfortunately, many people took it the wrong way. The idea of only those powerful enough to survive gave the people the idea that there are not equals. </title>

<title>Utilitarianism: theory created by John Stuart Mill. In his theory, he ought to maximize the good. When asking what is morally correct it is important as well to ask what to evaluate. So for example, take in consideration 1. the person, what is their intention? 2. The action, what kind of action is it? 3. Consequences, what results from the action. Mill focuses here. Essentially is the moral value by the amount of happiness they tend to produce for those involved. </title>

Charles Dickens attempted to reverse that, but cleverly through his writing. Using stories to create an impact in society. </title>

<title>Even though Dickens&#39;s marvelous stories could have made a slight change, people were still selfish and looked after themselves. Utilitarianism helps us to observe and really see through people&#39;s intentions in order to make the most amount of people happy.</title>
