Every GIS application currently available can manage and display points, lines, and polygons. Since GIS data are typically stored as points, lines, and polygons, this is the case. There is no standard for GIS data formats, but the ESRI shape file is the most common file format. This strategy is sometimes implemented by storing all described data in a relational database whose structure resembles that of shapefiles. The problem at hand is the fragmentation of stored data. Points, lines, and polygons that represent objects are separately stored. Moreover, employed data types are considerably less complex than modelled real-world objects. In GIS applications, the definition of new data types is not supported due to the complexity of modifying, for instance, the relational data structure.

GIS data is typically saved as points, lines, and polygons, this is the case. it know as geometrical primitives. Although there is no standard for GIS data formats, ESRI shape files are the most widely used. Each layer, also known as a shape file, contains information about the positions of one sort of geometrical primtive that covers one thematical area. The database fi le follows, which contains attribute information about geomtrival primitives from the shape fi le. There is also an index fi le that contains information on the relationship between the shape fi leprimitives and database records.GIS software are designed to load these files and stack the layers together to create a final map. This method is occasionally modified by putting all of the mentioned data in a relational database with a structure similar to that of shape files. The issue here is that stored information is fragmented. Objects are represented by points, lines, and polygons that are saved separately. Useddata types are, of course, considerably simpler than modelled real-world things. In GIS applications, the definition of new data types is not supported because it is extremely difficult to update, for example. data structure based on relationships

Most of the data generated is based on and in line with the development of national technology. Remote Sensing is one of the main sources of new data. Based on the latest technology in hardware most GIS software is now able to manage and process remote sensing data such as satellite images at high resolution and in different formats. Remote sensing data can consist of aerial photographs, satellite images, radar images and so on. Part of the problem of using remote sensing data can be overcome with integration capabilities with other data layers, especially vector data in shape file format. Most remote sensing experts emphasize that their data becomes more valuable when combined with other data sources such as a combination of raster and vector data.

This is due to the fact that weather can impede management and have a significant impact on the data that will be collected. Additionally, a management's use of GIS comes at a hefty expense.
