The introduction of smallpox killed a vast number of Indigenous people within the first 14 mouths of its arrival. This happened because Indigenous people didn't have the technology to fight it or to keep it contained. European diseases were extremely damaging to the Aboriginal people. This is because the infections were fast spreading and a newly introduced problem for the indigenous communities to deal with. Because the diseases were new they has no medicine or remedies to aid or cure them. A lack of unsanitary/clean conditions also contributed to this as people relied on the land, often lived in large groups and had no need to build houses or buildings. All of these factors devastated the Aboriginal people by exterminating a large chunk of their population, it also changed the way they went through everyday life.

  • Aboriginal, the people who had survived for 60,000 years, and through that year no invasion had occurred until the arrival of British army, the British had spread a huge storm of diseases from their country to the aboriginal. The reason why the half of the population of aboriginal had wiped out, because the diseases were unknown to the aboriginal. Aboriginal people had no idea, what the disease even was, and because the diseases couldn't be stopped. The diseases had came from the industrial revolution, and since they won't advanced at technology, they couldn't cure it, lots criminal activity had been preformed to the aboriginal  and rape to females.

 Because for aboriginal people the disease was new to them. That makes hard to treat the disease. Aboriginal people were also living in dense community so the disease spread quickly in to their community. Generally they were not developed with the idea of medicine.

Because the Aboriginal people were unfamiliar to these disease, their bodies couldn't fight off the sickness, and there was no medicine to make the disease more manageable. Due to living in over crowed places, the diseases spread a lot faster than normal. With the diseases spreading rapidly, more than half of the Aboriginal population were killed.
