         <description><![CDATA[<div>Jaimee, Morgan, Kendra B., Jackson;)qq<br>Ensure Environmental sustainability<br><br>We learned that between 2000 and 2014 more than 320 million people living in the slums are getting improved water sources, improved sanitation facilities and durable or less crowded housing, thereby, exceeding the M.D.G target<br><br>1. 37% of Historically Honduras was pretty much entirely covered by trees, with half a percent of the land not forested.<br>2. India is the most polluted country because there is a lot of smog and the traffic causes a lot of fossil fuels. <br>3. Tonga is the most unsustainable country in the world because they have debt to the Chinese government.   <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>PImprove Maternal health<br><br>Colter, Kendrik, Adam, aelyn<br><br>We learned that, since 1990 the maternal mortality ratio has been cut nearly in half, and most of the reduction occurred since 2000, Globally, there were an estimated 289,000 maternal deaths in 2013.<br><br>1. The region that has most changed maternal mortality rate is North America with over 150,000 less deaths because they improved their healthcare.<br><br>2. The current country with the highest Maternal mortality rate is Nigeria because they have little healthcare and because they are a third world country the do not have the money to afford healthcare.<br><br>3. In total approximately 200,000 women die yearly due to maternal  complications/diseases, such as  Pre-eclampsia, Uturine Atony, Uterine Rupture, Placenta Accreta.<br><br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

We also learned that due to increased funding, more children are sleeping under insecticide-treated bed nets in sub Saharan Africa. More than 75%<br>Three facts on HIV, And etc.<br>-Other diseases in third world counties include respiratory disease, diseases of the circulatory system, low birth weight, diarrhea, measles, injuries, malnutrition, and neoplasms. These conditions represent diseases of poverty and affluence. <br>-75 million people have been infected with the HIV virus and about 32 million people have died of HIV. <br>-  Gay and Bisexual men were most affected by HIV in 2017 by 66%.</div>]]></description>

We also learned between 1990 and 2015 over 2 billion people got fresh water. <br><br>Three examples of environmental hazards around the world are:<br><br>1. Australian wildfires<br><br>2. The California wildfires<br><br>3. pollution<br><br>The Australian wildfires have burned up 17.35 million acres of forest and has killed a ton of wildlife. <br><br>The California wildfires has burned up to 250,000 acres of land. <br><br>One of the most polluted places in the world is Shijiazhuang, China where you can't go outside without a gas mask. <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>  Kacper , Shawn , Landon<br><br>Combat HIV/AIDS, Malaria and other diseases .<br><br><br>We learned that in Botswana 24.8 percent of the people there suffer from HIV/AIDS . which ranges from people of the age of 15-49, which is the third  highest in the world of the amount of a people who suffer with HIV/AIDS. The Highest percentage of HIV/AIDS recorded in one country was in Eswatini (formerly known as Swaziland) they have a 27.3% rate in HIV/AIDS. <br><br>We also learned that by 2000-2015 the cause of Malaria decreased by 58%, and is still decreasing to this day .<br><br>Also during  2014-2020 50+ million people have bin treated for HIV/AIDS.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

Caribbean: 17.7 percent. <br>Southern Asia: 14.4 percent Southeastern Asia: 11.5 percent.<br>Western Asia: 10.6 percent.</div><div>We also found out that lots of people in East Asia and Pacific (47 million extreme poor) have a daliy income of $1.25. And with that they have raised it and now its <br>$4 - $12 of income. Also the number of people living in extreme proverty has reduced by 50%. </div>]]></description>

Even in 1990 the child mortality rate was quite high. improvement was noticed in 2015 when deaths in children under five went from 12.7 million (1990) to 6 million. new medicine and child care resources have been discovered and the deaths are not as common as they used to be.<br><br>Facts...<br>- children of educated mothers are less likely to to die than children of mothers with no education.<br>- Afghanistan is the country with the highest child mortality rate in the world with an average of 110.6 deaths per 1000 children.<br>- children in ruel areas are almost 1.7 times more likely to die before their fifth birthday as those in urban areas.<br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

Education developing regions reached 91% (2015) from the 83% in 2000. People ages 15-24 literacy rate has improved a lot from 83% to 91% from 1990-2015.<br> Students that are not the richest are out of school 4 times as much as wealthy students.  <br><br>in Nigeria Students with any kind of disabilities are normally left behind in school. <br>In some parts of the world girls are specially limited to have an education in school.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div> Keira <br><br>Promote Gender Equality And Empower Woman. <br><br>I learned that FAO recognizes the importance of this and works to change it.  Gender equality is being fair with men and woman.  Gender equality doesn't mean woman and men become the exact same, it simply means they want to be paid the same or treated fairly. Also that they have equal resources regardless of the gender of the person. <br><br>They want to eliminate gender disparity in primary,  secondary and tertiary education. About 3 or so quarters of working men participate in the labor force. <br><br>It is said that if men get paid a dollar an hour then women would get paid 78 cents per hour. Although, recently in many places they start to work the same as men and get paid the same as well. <br><br>  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Joey<br><br>To Promote Gender Equality and Empower Women.<br><br>There are Multiple examples f Gender inequality in north america, however I Don't believe that one gender has it harder than the other. Men have it hard in some ways, and Women have it hard in other ways.<br><br>While I do support the women's rights movement in north america, I believe that there are places where that sort of thing is needed a lot more.
