As a future special education teacher, no matter how small a success, it is always a success. If I can get my student to complete one activity, follow one rule, or obey the teacher once, that is success in my mind. 
I believe talent is defined as an ability God has given a person to use to help others. However, if you have been blessed with a talent for good then yes, you should make it the focus of your efforts in life. My great grandmother had many talents cooking, baking, canning, quilting, and gardening. She used those talents throughout her entire life, all 95 years. The things she did exceptionally well, she devoted her life to. She is pretty much the sister I never had. We pretty much adopted her into the family about 4 years ago when she decided to adopt this little one when he was born.
