After many hours of searching Sherlock and Watson deducted that the Speckled Band was an Indian snake because of many clues. One of them was that the metal box was the snake's home, the milk was it's food/drink, and the airvent was the way Where the snake could pasa from Dr. Roylott's room to Julia's.

Helen Stoner was a young woman with less than 30 years old. However, she seemed older thanks to her gray hair. She was a sad and unhappy person because she had to confront her sister’s death. One day she went to Sherlock Holmes chamber because she was so afraid of the death. When Sherlock saw how afraid she was, he kindly offered her to sit down and tell him her reasons of being afraid of the death. After that she told the detective that her life story and some characteristics of her family members. Then she told him about her stepfather, a violent man who was suspicious about killing Julia (Helen’s sister). Finally she closed her story by saying that she was going to die because her sister was also 30 years old When her hair turned grey and died. When she finished saying that, she started crying non-stopping.

To solve the miysterious case of the death of Helen Stoner's sister, the detective Sherlock Holmes had to be very intelligent, pay atention to dettails and follow a series of clues: strange and weird objets, like the bell-rope, the air-vent, milk on a plate and the metal box, sounds and smells like the whistle and cigarettes and the suspicious story of Helen and Julia's stepfather, Doctor Roylotts. Sherlock figured out what happend after secretly exploring the house and seeing the three rooms and realizing there is a hole between the two rooms and that the bed it's fixed to the floor, that must stay under the rope, which is near the air-vent.

one clue that sherlock found was the air vent, because the air-vent connect dr.roylott's room and julia's room, other clue was the bell rope, that it was over the air-vent but doesn't work. Another clue was a plate with milk, but they didn't have a cat. Another strange thing was that the bed, that it was fixed in the floor, and julia can't move it.

On the night of Julia's death Helen stoner was sleeping in the room between Julia's room. First Helen heard a sream of her sister.
Later, when Julia died Helen heard 2 sounds. One was the sound of a falling metal and the anoher was a whistle.
The sound of falling metal was when the Doctor Roylott opened the metal box(it was the snake's house) and the whistle was Roylott too calling the snake.
