These weren't just normal ten year old's these were very competitive ten year old's. My five year old is very competitive as well and she wanted to keep up with these kids so she sat back and watched before joining in the games. She loves to have fun and play games. Her actively watching the others play the game so she could learn and adjust to the rules of the game shows she takes initiative in learning new things. +

She took what she was learning and her past experiences and set out to do her best at the games they played. She made a few mistakes and learned from them. She jumped back in the game to try again.

I used different search engines so I could get more of a variety of articles. 
Once I was struggling in an anatomy class and I searched for different ways to help me memorize all of the bones and muscles in the body. We use real life situations to help us think about how we would handle certain situations.
We read a letter from a boy who was in a class with a teacher who chose to dislike him because of his outward appearance. After eventually having an emotional connection with him one was able to open up to him and helped him with his grades. She made such an impression on him that it changed his whole life and he went on to become a DR. We worked together to come up with a theory of what we thought would be accurate. Working together we all learned something from each other and were able to come up with a conclusion.
