Students will be given an emotion and they will work in small groups to act out what the emotion feels like. For example, angry. Students will then chart how a writer can show that a character is angry, without coming out and saying it. As students act out their emotion, they will bullet ways the emotion is shown by their peers. For example, fists are clenched, lips are tight, turning red. Once completed, this resource will be available to all students and can to be added to throughout the year.

Christine Meinert
