         <title>The Storming of Bastille</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The storming of bastille prison took place on July 14, 1789. The prison itself was a symbol of abuse and torture for the 3rd estate. People of the 3rd estate forced their entry into the prison looking for gun powder and weapons. They released all prisoners and killed 5 of the guards. </div>]]></description>

         <title>The Women’s March on Versailles</title>

The people walked 18 miles to the palace of Versailles in the rain. They forced King Louis and Queen Marie-Antoinette to move from the palace to the city of Paris, so the French monarchy could be closely watched</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The King and Queen has attempted to flee France to Austria. They were both dressed as peasants to blend in with the people. There were notes being secretly sent from Marie herself to her family in AustriaThey tried to leave because they feared death and the constitution the 3rd estate was conjuring took away absolute monarchy, so they would no longer have full power. </div>]]></description>

Louis was the first to be beheaded and his last words were, “Frenchman, I die innocent. I pardon authors of my death. I pray god that the blood about to be spilt will never fall upon the head of France.” Marie was later executed months after her late husband</div>]]></description>

         <title>The Reign of Terror</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The reign of terror lasted from September 1793 to July 1794. In this time 17,000 people were executed, and 300,000 had been arrested. All of the arrested and killed citizens were accused critics of the revolution. Robespierre was the leader during the reign and was eventually beheaded ending the event known as the Reign of Terror</div>]]></description>
