And someone gave little Davy Hutchinson few pebbles." This shows how even little children and her own son took part in this ritual in stoning Tessie. This relates to the evil is in all of us as these little kids that look all adorable can be capable of killing a human being.

The statement "Look out. The evil is in all of us" is true. In the text The Lottery by Shirley Jackson it states, "Although the villagers had forgotten the ritual and lost the original black box, they still remembered to use stones. The pile of stones the boys had made earlier was ready..." This quote shows how they forgot why this was created and turned it into harming someone. Instead of remembering the ritual, they changed it into an event of harming someone. Even the little kids got their stones ready before the big announcement.

Evidence to support this claim "Although the villagers had forgotten the ritual and lost the original black box, they still remembered to use stones. The pile of stones the boys had made earlier was ready." This quote proves how there is evil in all of us because although the ritual was forgotten and they lost the original black box people ended up adapting to it. The statement "The evil is in all of us" is getting proven here when the people were ready to hit the person who would get the black dot on the piece of paper.

The statement "look out the evil is in all of us" is true. Evidence to support this claim is " The children had stones already. And someone gave little Davy Hutchinson few pebbles. Tessie Hutchinson was in the center of a cleared space by now." This shows that the evil is indeed in us all because even Tessie's kid Davy had a stone to sacrifice his mother which is very horrible. Because I understand the the village is trying to sacrifice her with stones, but her kid and husband also joining in is just absurd. Little kids, that shouldn't even have murder on their mind are collecting stones to sacrifice someone they knew just because of the lottery (sacrifice).

The statement "Look out, the evil is in all of us" is true. Evident to this is in the text "The Lottery" by Shirley Jackson p.8 line 8 it states, "It isn't fair, it isn't right," Mrs. Hutchinson screamed." This line proves that evil ins in us all because in the beginning of the text Mrs. Hutchinson wasn't reluctant on doing the Lottery. But when she got chosen she cried out that It was "unfair" when she cleared didn't care in the beginning. This shows that people are selfish by nature. Mrs. Hutchison didn't care about anyone else but herself. She was selfish. This explains how the statement "Look out, the evil is in all of us" by William Golding is true because Tessie Hutchinson wore a mask until she was targeted.

Evidence to support this claim "Although the villagers had forgotten the ritual and lost the original black box, they still remembered to use stones."(Jackson 8). This shows all the villagers weren't bothered by the fact they are killing someone because they are blinded by false rituals and superstitions .They aren't taking decisions and fairly and killing someone who has no faults .This cruel act goes against our morals and actively supports the claim that there is evil in all of us .

The Statement by William Golding when he said, “Look out. The evil is in all of us.” can be proven once again in the narrative “ The Lottery” by Shirly Jackson as she wrote in lines 6-9 on page 8 “Although the villagers had forgotten the ritual and lost the original black box, they still remembered to use stones. The pile of stones the boys had made earlier was ready; there were stones on the ground with the blowing scraps of paper that had come out of the box Delacroix selected a stone so large she had to pick it up with both hands and turned to Mrs. Dunbar. "Come on," she said. "Hurry up." This just clearly proves how they are eager to kill Tessie, they grab stones that are so heavy they need both hands, and even children have stones which shows how even children are joining in a committing murder which pushes the quote that evil is in all of us.

This shows how the villagers, who were once friends and neighbors would easily kill them for the sake of the ritual.

William Goldings statement claims "Look out, the evil is in all of us" is true. "The lottery" by Shirley Jackson proves this statement correct. In paragraph 8 and line 2 it shows how Hutchinson's went over to Tessie and yanked her slip out of her hand and showed it to crow after this Ms. Summers tells them "lets finish this quickly". They know what crime they're going to commit. They're aware its going to be a ugly scene. Its soon later brought up that the villagers forgotten the ritual, they only remembered that they needed to stone the person. It shows how no one truly did it just because it was a ritual it was a act of evil. If it was for the sakes of the ritual, they would have not forgotten it. It says "Delacroix selected a stone so large she had to pick it up with both hands". Its revealed that children also partook in this. Even the children were evil. Even when Tessie screamed no one care. It states " "It isn't fair," she said. A stone hit her on the side of the head. Old Man Warner was saying, "Come on, come on, everyone." People even encouraged the stoning of her death to others. Talking as if it something fun. Something entertaining. It proves how everyone in the village had evil in them despite the story starting off with a clam setting.

The statement "Look out. The evil is in all of us" is true. Evidence to support this claim is in on page 8 of the "Lottery" by Shirley Jackson it states, "Tessie Hutchinson was in the center of a cleared space by now, and she held her hands out desperately as the villagers moved in on her. "It isn't fair," she said. A stone hit her on the side of the head... "It isn't fair, it isn't right," Mrs. Hutchinson screamed, and then they were upon her". The villagers are savage because they were willing to kill a innocent person without a definite reason. The only reason they choose to attack Mrs. Hutchinson is because she got the slip of paper that had a black dot in it, thus the lottery. Even if she pleaded for them to stop, they did not halt their actions and preceded with the savagery of killing her. Furthermore, children were associated with the ritual which is inhumane and hunting to do to a child. This illustrates how evil is in all of us because you can meet a person, they may be evil and at the same time you barely notice it at all this is due to that, no appearance does define evil. This is the same with savagery, you can not automatically look at a person and say why they are savage.
