I think that rap music doesnt cause violence today because modern day music is so wide spread and varied that if a person chooses to listen to violent music its a personal choice of an individual more than because a person has been brainwashed.

On the other hand however there in the past have been lots of violent rap music such as Run DMC and Cypress Hill that expressed feelings during times where gang crime was prevalent. See the attached videos for examples of violent lyrics.

I do however think that the media stereotype people based on their music choices which cause folk devils and moral panics.

I think that rap does not cause violence , the reason for this is because if you listen to capital or something it does not make you go and do things. So why do people say that rap does when it the same kind of songs however in different wording. This is a video of rap which I don't think will make, people do bad things over evidence of this is because if u go on YouTube and look at Bruna mars grenade it says jump In front of a train but no one would do that so why do people be bad and do what it say in rap

I don't think rap music causes violence because it just depends on the person and how they take the kind of music. For example sad songs can make people upset but others not, I I think it's the same with rap. Also, not all rap songs are about violence, some are just emotional songs just sang in a different way. Some people listen to rap songs because they explains their emotions and they think it helps them express how they feel.

I don't think that rap music causes violence because people wrap so I looks good on there repetition and older men would listen to rap because rap used to be really popular when they where young but some raps can cause violence because people have rap battles and sometimes I could end well but then a again it good end bad.

In my opinion I think that rap music doesn't cause violence. Some people may wrap over peace and making the world a better place. Also other people rap if they are angry to get feelings out of their system.

I don't think rap encourages violence. I think it's more dependent on how the person listening to it and how they want to react when their listening to it.

I think that rap doesn't always cause violence, it just depends on the person listening to it. Some people listen to rap for its clever and poetic wordplay, cultural references and commentary on life.

I think rap music does cause violence but not as much as people think. Yeah there is "beef" but usually it escalates to someone getting punched it's doubtful they'd get stabbed. It depends... If you want to get noticed it's easier to start something with someone already pretty big in the scene. Like bugzy Malone did to chipmunk. And then there is people like JME who tend to keep himself to himself.
