The culmination of a decade-long effort by University of Virginia Health Department of Orthopedic Surgery Chair Dr. Bobby Chhabra and his team, the UVA Orthopedic Center encompasses 200,000 square feet.

Now located on Ivy Road in Charlottesville, the center offers on-site imaging, diagnosis, surgery, and physical therapy, all under one roof. The center treats a wide variety of conditions, including sports and trauma related injuries and chronic problems like arthritis. Among them are Achilles tendon rupture, hand and foot fractures, rotator cuff injuries, shoulder arthritis, spina arthritis, ACL injuries, wrist arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and ankle sprains and fractures. . Patients can also receive shoulder, knee and hip replacements at the center.
