I watch korean dramas on a weekly basis and can’t live without them.
2. Frank Sinatra

Frank Sinatra is one of my musical inspirations. Songs: Fly Me To The Moon, The Way You Look Tonight, New York New York, My Way, Moon River
3. Superhero Movies: Iron Man

This movie series was apart of my childhood and I really like his suit.
4. Anime

Anime is one of my pastimes and I enjoy the fictional stories that are made by Japan.
5. Pho

The first time I had pho was right after I got stung by a bee on my ear in the third grade. It tasted delicious and has been one of my favorite foods ever since.
6. Super Smash Bros

Super Smash Bros is my favorite game of all time and is extremely nostalgic every time I play. It brings me back to the times I would gather around with my siblings and cousins and play all night. We would converse, laugh, eat, and reminiscing through those times really make me wish I could go back. 
7. Maplestory
Maplestory is also one of my favorite childhood games. It brought my friends and family together.

8. Youtube

Youtube is also one of my pastimes. I watch Youtube when I get home, when I do homework, and when I sleep. I feel as though it is slowly taking my life away.
9. Popeyes

Popeyes is my favorite fried chicken place and it beats KFC by 100%. It tastes amazing.
10. Lifting

I love lifting weights up and down.

One of my first projects working under the instruction of Ak was comprised of medical microfiche and wooden skewers that wrapped around a mannequin.  I related the medical microfiche to the obsession my native Koreans have in cosmetic surgery, and the sharp, lengthy form of the skewers to the emphasis my people put in fashion style.  Then I wondered how to acquire a unique and creative style that the 21st century encourages, while fitting into the ideal style that society has already imposed.  Rather than proposing a straightforward answer, I wanted my work to highlight the hypocrisy of this conundrum.

What I love most about art is the fact there is no right or wrong answer to a problem/prompt.  While many art teachers believe there is an answer to how art should be taught, Ak is the perfect example of just how that statement is not true.  Contrary to most art teachers, where they impose upon their students drawing and painting, Ak invites the unknown and the unfamiliar, encouraging his students to find alternatives and implement found objects into their art.  Through his mentorship, I was finally able to discover something that would make my heart beat faster, something I want to continuously do, something I may even want to pursue as a career.
