There is no party I 100% support, each party has elements which I can agree and disagree with. It’s hard to choose a party to vote for or a politician that is trustworthy. Politics has become too confusing and younger generations are left out of the conversation. The frustrating nature of politics means people tune out as they find it too hard to understand what the truth, what’s a lie, what’s good and what’s bad. Often majority of people voting are unaware of what they are really voting for (myself included). The fact no one implements any real change because they are scared to lose voters. A quote I recently read said “The age of party democracy has passed. Although the parties themselves remain, they have become so disconnected from the wider society, and pursue a form of competition that is so lacking in meaning”. That’s what politics has become a competition.

My country is not active about political issues. And so far from what I know, most of the people in my age follow what their parents told to do so. However, I believe most of the opposite political parties are divided through Long-term benefits and Short-term benefits. No one political party has completely right or wrong answer. The reason why Trump won was that he showed Americans the quick benefits that they could get.

I feel like in this age, a growing understanding is that millennials are increasingly becoming politically aware and active - but I feel the opposite. I feel it can be hard sometimes to know what is going on, and thus accurately, and with purpose, chose who you may vote for or side with. I feel that I often support of reject policies based on very superficial knowledge of them. Also, I often side with my peers or people around me.

I have a very cynical mindset when looking at and considering politics. Because of this, I find I have to do my own research about anything political, because I am one of those people who distrust the media coverage of politics and politicians themselves. I make political judgements mainly based on my own values and beliefs, but also align with my father's political opinions where I see fit. I am a swing-voter, so election time is when I am most politically engaged, I focus on the policies of the parties, not the personnel. I do not care who is the face of the party, or what they tweeted yesterday, as long as they deliver on what was promised during election time, I will vote for them again.

I am not support any politically, and I am not stand with any political leaders and parties. The reason is the government did not give the public much power to choose. In a sense, the power only belongs to a part.
