One of the advantages is that it gives some hands-on experience, students can see how their knowledge of the language helps them to solve real-life problems. One of the challenges is that the language should be scaffolded so as not to discourage the students and enable them to fulfill the task.

I teacher newcomers with little or no English... the challenge would be with comprehension and vocabulary not being high enough

I intergrade several subject areas or courses in me lesson focused on language development. It shows students that the language connects all areas of life and it offers an opportunity to comprehend and use authentic language

I have always loved to use films, shows and movie clips as a way to teach language. The topics in the film can engage interesting conversations. I also once did an activity in which students had to write a movie review. This was a first for many and also quite challenging, but it proved to be a popular assignment :)

Resources given in the presentation can be very helpful for teaching.

I actually do use CLIL in my classroom though it may not be so obvious at first. Firstly, I use it in Drama Class which is aimed at improving students' pronunciation skills as well as creative ones. Also when I teach theme based classes, I can use CLIL approach like when teaching FOOD and DRINKS topic we may cook something with students and so on. It's a great approach to help students develop their skills in a practical way.

I use CLIL tasks only the second year but I saw that my students like such tasks because they sometimes know more than me in biology or physics. Then we change places- I'm a student and they have a chance to teach me)

It's great opportunity to show students that English is their tool for gaining modern knowledge. And you can study a lot in English even with CEFR - A2

I love the Small Talk at the beginning of the lesson and I ask my students about what they are learning about at Science or History or literature lessons now. And we discuss it together. They share what they find difficult and what surprises them. And sometimes I find interesting videos for them re the topic they are learning and we watch and discuss it.

Advantage is that students use English language and improve their skills. Disadvantages is their level of English .

An advantage is holistic learning. A disadvantage might be lack of content knowledge which can result in lack of teacher's confidence.

The integration of content and language learning as well as poetry contribute to a well-rounded education. The ways of how to implement these approaches into practice and what to take into consideration are really useful.

Unfortunately I have never worked with this methodology at my school. Though I was taught in it at the university. I had only binary lessons at school. I will definitely try it.

Being an ESP teacher is like teaching CLIL lessons all the time:) You need to be an expert in different branches of science and be ready to discuss various topics. That's a real challenge! However, it's great because you need to read a lot of papers to master the vocabulary, allowing you to develop in different directions.

I have conducted the lesson of English and Chemistry with my colleague. It was about acid and acid rain. I myself had much fun remembering formulas and how different elements are pronounced in English)

I find the ideas of both presenters useful. I've thought about the usage CLIL in my teaching practice but I used only some of the elements. For example, I had a lesson devoted to recicling or we learned how to help our planet but these lessons weren't so deep and detailed. Now I have more knowledge about CLIL so I can prepare such lessons more thouroughly.

I consider there are some advantages to teaching with CLIL-more engaged students, strengthened classroom managnent and others

The presentations are useful because they add teachers extra tools for better teaching. I have not used CLIL yet but will do it for sure. Nowadays there are a lot of ways to engage students into language activity so the teacher should figure out what works for his/her students, CLIL is a fashionable thing nowadays).

I wouldn't call it 'use CLIL' as an approach, it's rather using elements of CLIL. For example, when we worked on the topic 'Crime and Punishment' my students organized a trial where they had to act different roles and use a lot of courtroom language.

While working on the topic "Environment" we had Sustainable Cities Project when students investigated and presented ideas for creating a more sustainable city, incorporating environmental science concepts and developing language skills in English.

I use Cross-Cultural Content when students read texts and news from different countries. After this presentation I'm also going to apply poems from different countries that will make other cultures much closer.

The use of CLIL in classes can help students to use different vocabulary and speak about different topics. And one challenge it could happen when teachers of other subjects don't want to participate and "join unjoined things".

I use English in Foreign Languages Methodology classes. So students discuss FL Methodology principles, approaches, methods and develop their English vocabulary, speaking, reading, writing skills

In CLIL a foreign language is learnt in a natural way, it is used as a tool for communications, discussions and that is why it is efficient. Of course, this approach has challenges. Students have to learn many special subjects' terms.
