There are many sources of loyalty within the book of Chains. The book, Chains by Laurie Halse Anderson, is a historical genre that shows the reader all the adventures of Isabel, a African American slave, who seeks freedom from Mr. and Madam Lockton, during the Revolutionary War. From all the characters throughout Chains, we can learn that the actions of others can display loyalty in many different ways.

We may mean the term of other races when we said other. Words and images create a false idea about the other by putting words and images about something false. As an example, I mean that the images and words may depict one situation that seems fine in one person's view, but very ironic in another person's point of view. From Slide 6, it shows a family of a father, a mother, and four children. On the bottom, it says German language. According to what we believe, this poster was used to persuade and give ideas to families and children to join the Hitler youth. This also results in them having more military cadets and soldiers to fight along the Nazis. This is propaganda due to the fact that the Hitler youth was "cool" or "awesome" in the eyes of the families. It also tries to give the idea that your family is strong and well as long as you join the Hitler Youth. The ironic part is that the Hitler youth is that they are trained to kill and destroy their targets, the Jews.

Throughout the short story, “Fish Cheeks”, the main character, Amy Tan, told her perspective of a Christmas Eve dinner as a teenager. She looks back to that memory as an adult and understands the meaning of that specific dinner. One crucial difference that Amy Tan felt as a teenager and felt as an adult was the feeling of being understood.
