I am attending college for the purpose of not only brightening my own future, but to brighten the future of our country. I am in the education program because I believe that every person has the potential for greatness, and I want to help them find that greatness.

I strongly believe that children hold the future of our country in their hands. I discovered my love for teaching at the age of 16, and since then I have pushed myself for the opportunity to aid them in finding their passion. I am outgoing, social, and patient. I use these skills in the classroom to allow children to enjoy their experience while I'm there.

I am currently a student at Valencia College East Campus in Orlando, Florida. I have the intent to transfer to UCF to pursue a degree in Elementary Education. I have volunteered at Lawton Chiles Elementary, and Renaissance Charter School at Chickasaw Trail through OCPS and Valencia's Teacher Education Program (TEP). This volunteer work has allowed to me have several one on one interactions with a classroom setting, and work alongside professionals.

I am very open-minded and I love new experiences. I embrace challenges and value instruction. I am an aspiring high school math teacher. I am a hard worker; I have three years of experience camp counseling at a summer camp. At the summer camp I worked with kids of all ages. Early childhood is an important time to create that foundation for children when beginning their education careers. I’ve volunteered in classrooms of different ages and have helped teachers with grading, classroom activities, and even field trips.

Before getting into any educational workspaces, I began my journey into education with babysitting and tutoring in high school. It’s an important responsibility to provide a safe, motivating, and comfortable learning space for children which is a personal priority of mine. My goal is to make school a safe space for students where they can feel accepted and free to be creative and motivated to continue their education farther.
