1. name of the place : normandy

2. the location : france

3. the event that ever happened : D-DAY
The Normandy landings were the landing operations and associated airborne operations on Tuesday, 6 June 1944 of the Allied invasion of Normandy in Operation Overlord during World War II. Codenamed Operation Neptune and often referred to as D-Day, it was the largest seaborne invasion in history. The operation began the liberation of France (and later western Europe) and laid the foundations of the Allied victory on the Western Front.

Planning for the operation began in 1943. In the months leading up to the invasion, the Allies conducted a substantial military deception, codenamed Operation Bodyguard, to mislead the Germans as to the date and location of the main Allied landings. The weather on D-Day was far from ideal, and the operation had to be delayed 24 hours; a further postponement would have meant a delay of at least two weeks, as the invasion planners had requirements for the phase of the moon, the tides, and the time of day that meant only a few days each month were deemed suitable. Adolf Hitler placed Field Marshal Erwin Rommel in command of German forces and of developing fortifications along the Atlantic Wall in anticipation of an Allied invasion. U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt placed Major General Dwight D. Eisenhower in command of Allied forces.

The amphibious landings were preceded by extensive aerial and naval bombardment and an airborne assault—the landing of 24,000 American, British, and Canadian airborne troops shortly after midnight. Allied infantry and armoured divisions began landing on the coast of France at 06:30. The target 50-mile (80 km) stretch of the Normandy coast was divided into five sectors: Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno, and Sword. Strong winds blew the landing craft east of their intended positions, particularly at Utah and Omaha. The men landed under heavy fire from gun emplacements overlooking the beaches, and the shore was mined and covered with obstacles such as wooden stakes, metal tripods, and barbed wire, making the work of the beach-clearing teams difficult and dangerous. Casualties were heaviest at Omaha, with its high cliffs. At Gold, Juno, and Sword, several fortified towns were cleared in house-to-house fighting, and two major gun emplacements at Gold were disabled using specialised tanks.

The Allies failed to achieve any of their goals on the first day. Carentan, Saint-Lô, and Bayeux remained in German hands, and Caen, a major objective, was not captured until 21 July. Only two of the beaches (Juno and Gold) were linked on the first day, and all five beachheads were not connected until 12 June; however, the operation gained a foothold that the Allies gradually expanded over the coming months. German casualties on D-Day have been estimated at 4,000 to 9,000 men. Allied casualties were documented for at least 10,000, with 4,414 confirmed dead. Museums, memorials, and war cemeteries in the area now host many visitors each year.

4. the function of the place :
it was reinforced and made as a defence position by the nazi's

5. its function now : it has became a beach

Uluwatu is one of Bali's picture postcard temples, whose cliff base is also known among surfers as an exotic surf spot. The temple sits on a clifftop in Bali’s southwest, about 70 metres above the crashing waves. 'Pura Luhur Uluwatu' as the locals call it, similarly shares the splendid sunset backdrops of the Tanah Lot sea temple in West Bali. Even so, Uluwatu’s more elevated perch provides broader and more breathtaking seascapes.

Pathways throughout the site allow you to witness the ancient architecture and sculptures from up close. A dense forest inhabited by grey long-tailed macaques surrounds the temple.

1. Name place : Istana presiden

2. The location : Indonesia

3. The event that ever happened : Jakarta Both during the colonial period and during the independence period, the State Palace and the Merdeka Palace were full of various historical peaks. At the Rijswijk Palace in 1829 the Governor General of GAG Baron Van Der Capellen listened to General Hendrik Merkus baron De Kock's plan to crush the Diponegoro rebellion. As Supreme Commander of the Dutch East Indies Army, De Kock managed to outsmart Diponegoro in early 1830 during the reign of Governor General Johannes Graaf Van Den Bosch. After the proclamation of independence, the State Palace became a historical witness for the signing of the Linggarjati Agreement on Tuesday, March 25, 1947. This agreement among other things stipulates that the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands will jointly organize the establishment of a state based on the principle of federation.

A year later, on March 13, 1948, the State Palace again hosted a one-on-one meeting between Vice President Mohammad Hatta and Lieutenant Governor General Dr Hubertus J Van Mook. During the reign of President Soekarno, several historical peaks occurred at the Merdeka Palace and The State Palace included: the dissolution of the United States of Indonesia and the return to the form of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia on August 15, 1950. The Presidential Decree Returning to the 1945 Constitution in front of the Merdeka Palace on July 5, 1959, the speech of the Economic Decree at the State Palace on July 5, 1959. March 28, 1963 as a result of the rejection of a loan request to the IMF (International Monetary Fund). During the time of President Soekarno, the Merdeka Palace yard was also used for giant parades several times. The issue of the "siege" of the Jakarta Palace by a group of soldiers at the end of President Soeharto's reign seems to repeat a similar incident that occurred at the end of President Soekarno's reign. At that time, President Soekarno immediately left the Jakarta Palace by helicopter to the Bogor Palace. The Credentials Room of the Merdeka Palace became the world's attention when on May 21, 1998, a brief ceremony of taking the oath of President Habibie was held which was broadcast live to all corners of the world. A group of students had approached the front yard of the Merdeka Palace to protest. Almost all heads of state and heads of government from around the world have climbed the steps of the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. Their names were recorded on a long list of state guests at the Jakarta Palace. Some of the biggest names in world history who have visited the Jakarta Palace include: Shri Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Queen Elizabeth, King Norodom Sihanouk, Attorney General Robert Kennedy, President Nelson Mandela, Chancellor Helmut Kohl, President Bill Clinton, and Princess Diana. So far, 23 heads of government have used the Jakarta Palace complex, namely: 15 Governor-General of the Dutch East Indies, three Saiko Shikikan (Supreme Commander of the 16th Japanese Army in Java), and five Indonesian Presidents. Of the 15 Governor-General of the Dutch East Indies, only four actually resided in the Waltevreden Palace; others stayed at the Buitenzorg Palace and only came to Batavia to attend Raad van Indie meetings. Only two Presidents of the Republic of Indonesia have ever lived in the Jakarta Palace complex, namely President Soekarno and President Abdurrahman Wahid.

4. The function of this place in the past : In addition to functioning as an office, the State Palace is used as the residence of the President which was previously the residence of the Governor General of the Dutch East Indies and the Commander of the Japanese occupation. ... Bina Graha itself was converted into a Palace Museum.

5. This palace functions more closely with the official activities of the presidency, namely as the activities of the President of the Republic of Indonesia. However, if the anniversary of independence is 17 August, the State Palace is also used for a banquet for the President and veterans.

6.
