Uber is a company based on transporting people through an app to move them to one place to another. Is a clear example of brand extension because it has expanded its brand. Initially it connected drivers with passengers through an app and they used their strong brand recognition and trust to introduce new services like Uber Eats for food delivery, Uber Freight for merchandise transportation and Uber Health for patient transportation. That is consider to be brand extension since they started operating in a new different markert but related to their initial services

Uber was founded in San Francisco. It started as a ride service to connect passengers and drivers, but later on it grew through different brand extensions. The company now offers services like Uber Eatss for food delivery, Uber Connect for sending packages, and Uber Freight for transport and logistics. It also added e-bikes and scooters in many cities.

These new products help Uber stay known as a brand for movement and convenience. In conclusion, it hasn’t stretched into very different areas like shopping or entertainment, keeping its focus on transport and delivery.

Levi Roots started his brand after appearing on Dragon’s Den in 2007 with his famous Reggae Sauce . After the sauce became very popular in the UK, the company decided to extend the brand to new but related food products. They introduced ready meals, snacks, drinks and frozen foods that kept the same Caribbean flavour and happy lifestyle idea.

The reason for the extension was to reach more people who like exotic and spicy food and to make the brand more visible in supermarkets. The extension was quite successful because many customers already trusted the name, even if not all new products stayed long in the market. They became a solid brand in the food and sauce industry.

Marmite was born in United Kingdom in 1902.

It´s a British brand famous for its strong, salty yeast-extract flavor and its slogan “Love it or hate it.” It began as a simple food spread but evolved into a symbol of bold taste and British identity. The brand used brand estension by creating new food products like snacks, cheeses, crisps, and other spreads, all connected to the original Marmite taste. It also tried brand stretching by launching merchandise and unusual items like Marmite-flavoured chocolate.

To conclude Marmite has kept its strong identity while expanding in creative ways, turning its unusual taste into a clear and successful brand image.

Jamie Oliver started as celebrity chef in the late 1990s in the United Kingdom, working as a chef for BBC News. Indeed, the original “brand” was Jamie himself: simple, accessible cooking and the idea of “healthy, honest food” for everyone.

Jamie Oliver could be one of the most clearest examples of both stretching and extension strategy. On the one hand, Jamie Oliver extended his brand into food-related areas. Particularly, Cookbooks (dozens of bestsellers), TV programs around food, lifestyle, and cooking, Food products: pastas, olive oils, herbs. Cooking tools: pots, pans, knives, and kitchenware.

Whereas on the other hand, He also stretched his brand into areas further away from cooking. For instance, Restaurants: “Jamie’s Italian” chain, Campaigns & Education: school dinners, healthy eating campaigns,

Partnerships with supermarkets....

To sum up, Jamie Oliver brand values (healthy, simple food) are globally recognized as of this date. Furthermore, the products of the British brand still sell very well in major retailers.

An entrepreneur must be prepared to take responsibility for all parts of a business. This includes coming up with ideas for the future of the business, managing money (making plans for how much money the business will make and how to spend it), day-to-day running of the business (marketing, sales, HR), making sure the business is following the law, and new ideas.

An entrepreneur must also build good relationships with the people who matter to the business, like customers, employees, suppliers, and investors. This means being a good leader, being strong, and always wanting to learn more. This will help the entrepreneur deal with problems and make sure the business grows in the right way.
