1. Our product is a glasses case in the shape of a peanut, the peanut shape is a reliable shape as any sort of glasses could fit inside.

2. Our team didn't really have a natural leader, the work was pretty much distributed evenly amongst the group members and we all had a fair share.

3. We listed down ideas and ran through the steps and process in order to know what to do.

4. We used a weak fidelity physical model made from foam in order to somewhat recreate out actual product.

5. A challenge we came across was the fact that we couldn't find a way to make the glasses case hollow, therefore actual glasses wouldn't be able to be stored inside.

6. Overall our outcome was pretty good, if we were to repeat this we would have made the shape better and increased the fidelity range.

This is my first time crating, I want to improve my parallel lines.

During this project, I learned various skills on Fusion/CAD as well as learning how to 3D print and use a 3D printing machine. Seeing other peoples websites also gave me further ideas about the remote control as well as the layout of the website. If I were to do this task again I would improve my 3D printing skills to get a better physical model as well as making a better layout for my website and practice annotating more. Effective forms of communication that resonated with me when looking at other peoples websites included good visuals as well as clear annotations.

This wooden cutting board is very dense and also weighs a lot. Furthermore the board is fairly durable and tough making it easy to use without breaking it, it shows no sign of plasticity. The appearance of the board is simple and clean which makes it ideal for home cooks as well as professionals. It has a smooth texture overall, however its still easy to grip.

I will be making a phone holder that is attached by a screw onto the handle of a Anywheel bike handle. Majority of them will be on the right side however 20% of the bikes will have them on the left side for people who prefer using their left hand. I am making this so people can easily look at their phones while biking instead of having to take it out of their bag or pocket. Having the phone in front of your face also means that you can still see whats in front of you while biking safely. Furthermore, You can easily look at a map on your phone and have it in front of you at all times. This is for people who want to multi task while riding safely, being able to get a sense of direction as well is also important. It will be black and durable, however it will also be able to bend so larger phones will fit (designing inclusively). An easy design will be key. By screwing it onto the bike handle people wont be able to steal it and it will be able to last for a long period of time. In order to make it, I will be 3d printing.

The most important thing in the challenge was being able to empathise for the other person and come up with a product that will suit the users needs.

Overall we did pretty well in the end and came up with a hat that could fold into a wallet. While this sounded like it would work on paper, we ended up finding ourselves having trouble wearing the hat as it would be too heavy in real life with cash or coins inside of it. Furthermore it would most likely be uncomfortable for the user as well.

Something we learned from this challenge is that it is crucial to gain insights from the user you are designing for, asking questions and empathising for them is also vital when looking at user centred designs.

When the Shame Plant's leaves are undisturbed, they are in an open, expanded state, maximizing their surface area for photosynthesis.

When the plant's leaves are touched or disturbed in any way, they quickly respond by folding inward and drooping. This folding is an almost instant reaction to tactile stimuli.

My watch is inspired by the closing action of the shame plant. People with asthma or respiratory issues may need ways to know that pollution or dust is around them.

When the concentration of dust or pollution is greater than average in the air, the shame plant on the watch will close.

Instead of a watch head, there will be a shame plant shaped watch face there instead.

The strap doesn't complete one whole loop, it stops at the end so you can bend it open and fit it on your wrist if it doesn't fit through your hand

Instead of having an incomplete bracelet, there is a pin at the end which you can click on to if the bracelet doesn't fit though your hand.

Gardening:

Have Vertical gardens made from these wooden pallets to encourage gardening
Add them next to or onto HDBs to encourage the community to take place in events.
It helps the community to get together and socialise, it also benefits the environment.
By adding gardens it also produces food, for people living in HDBs that don't want to leave their homes for food, they can grow herbs or foods.
Since old people are unable to travel far, the vertical gardens can be next to their window and provide them vegetables etc.
The gardens can also be put below the HDB to encourage gatherings etc.

When?

The project may take some time to setup
Firstly we will need enough pallets and the resources to create a garden.
We will need community participation in order to get them set up.

How?

Pots can be put on top of them, or the pallets can be modified in order to hold soil and allow the plants to grow.
