Artist Statement: This year my reflection is a Perler bead castle. How it relates to the theme: I matter because...is I am creative. It is important to be creative because then you can open your mind to all different things it could be building a rocket out of a cardboard box, it could be drawing a picture, it could be lot of different things. There are different ways to be creative it does not have to be art or a craft it could be things like making up a game or it could even be building something in a video game. What my reflection is trying to represent is I am creative.

Artist Statement: My work relates to the theme because it is about a girl who struggles with A.N.T.S. (Automatic Negative Thoughts) and has a hard time understanding why she matters. When she finally gets the courage to tell her mom, she helps her understand that she DOES matter. My inspiration for this piece was how people can struggle with things and don't always admit it. They are scared other people will judge them for their actions instead of who they are. But admitting it is always better. Those are the people with the stories that have a happy ending.
