Santa Clarita Valley and Levittown share similar characteristics such as the location, provided public institutions, and the structure of the community itself. It offers many of the same recreational activities and stores tend to be centralized in a shopping center. Both communities have a environment consisting of a dense population with public institutions such as schools. Like Levittown, the shopping mall serves as a place for consumers to support their consumption needs. Instead of traveling to Los Angeles, the shopping mall was constructed to avoid traffic in the city. Just like society today, the 1950s was marked as a period of conspicuous consumption due to the prospering economy of the United States. Like Levittown, suburbs are a popular mode of living due to larger living spaces. Housing competition in the Santa Clarita seems to be somewhat competitive like Levittown due to its proximity to Los Angeles. This is also due to the budget priced homes in the suburbs. However, unlike Levittown, the housing market in Santa Clarita seems to be not as budget lined as Levittown. But like most suburban homes, homes in Santa Clarita seem to be cheaper than homes located Los Angeles. Advanced technology has been offering more homes at a faster time and resulted in many homes having similar designs. The homes in Levittown, however, were too similar in design and resulted in many residents confused when finding their homes after work. Nowadays, suburbs have easy access to advanced medical treatment due to institutionalized hospitals. In Santa Clarita, the culture of religion and worship does not take part of a major sector of people's lives. This was the same for churches in Levittown. Like Santa Clarita, churches were used for worship purposes only and to worship one's religion in close proximity to home instead of traveling to a major city. Since churches can store many people, there are probably a few number of churches in both communities of Santa Clarita and Levittown. The town hall functions to adhere to the voices of the community and possibly listen to any grievances the community might have. Since both communities are home to a large population and the town hall has a large duty to perform the best job it can do for their citizens. The town hall is responsible for reviewing any major construction work or work on infrastructure that can be implemented in the community. The town hall will also try to accommodate any public facilities such as the implementation of public works and parks.
